1. Foreign Ministers from the world’s seven leading industrialized countries have called on Russia to rein in Ukrainian rebels and abide by “two peace protocals” which were reached in Minsk and designed to end the conflict. The appeal was made in a communiqué after the meeting in Luebeck, Germany.

President Zhao Jinzhou Recommended Books to Netizens
"Advocating reading in Sichuan, Recommending Books by presidents" is a large-scale campaign jointly launched by Sichuan Daily, Sichuan Journal Media, and the university league of new-media recently. This campaign is schemed to comprise ten sessions, and in each session one well-known president will be invited to make a recommendation reading list. As the third guest of this campaign activity, President Zhao Jinzhou recommended five philosophical books to netizens on April 15th. In addition, he gave away ten books with his autograph.
The books President Zhao recommended included "Comments of Beauty " , "Dialectics of Nature", “The culture and philosophy in the Eastern and Western world”, "Sophie's World ", '/wyx/info/1107/'Philosophy and Life". When speaking of the reason of recommending philosophy literatures, Zhao said that reading could enrich human knowledge while reading philosophical literatures can endow human with wisdom. It is philosophy that makes people apprehend the world so as to help us gain a thorough insight into our life; It is philosophy that teaches people various modes of thinking so as to help us work with ease and agility. In a nutshell, our spiritual homeland will be more abundant and polychrome with the companion of philosophy.

“书香天府·校长荐书”是四川日报、四川日报全媒体集群携手四川高校新媒体联盟，联合推出的一项大型活动，一共10期，每天邀请1位知名校长，推荐1份书单。4月15日，作为四川日报、四川日报全媒体集群联合推出“书香天府·校长荐书”校园分享会第三站的嘉宾，校长赵金洲为广大网民推荐了5本哲学书，并赠送10本亲笔签名书。
这5本书目分别是《谈美书简》、《自然辩证法》、《东西文化及其哲学》、《苏菲的世界》和《哲学与人生》。谈及为何要推荐哲学书？赵金洲表示，读书给人以知识，读哲学书给人以智慧。哲学帮助我们认识世界，让我们生活得更明白；哲学教会我们多种思维方式，让我们工作得更自在。“拥有哲学，我们的精神家园将会更加丰富和多彩。”赵金洲说。

The Seventh Session of SWPU Staff Representative Conference Grandly Inaugurated
On April 24th, the seventh session of the staff representative conference of SWPU grandly inaugurated in the academic hall of the library. The chairman of the Education Union, Du Changjiang, as well as the president of SWPU, Zhao Jinzhou, attended the meeting.
The speech Du made at the opening ceremony said that the meeting was an effective measure to carry out the policy of CPC, to promote the development of the democracy and to ensure the democratic and legal rights of the staff. Thus, it helps to motivate the reform and development of SWPU.
President Zhao made a work report as the deputy of SWPU. He emphasized that this year was pivotal for comprehensively deepening the reform. Therefore, we need a more diligent working attitude to constantly promote SWPU to make greater achievements.
第七届教职工代表大会隆重开幕
4月24日，学校第七届教职工代表大会在图书馆学术报告厅开幕，四川省教科文卫体工会主席杜长江、校长赵金洲等出席大会。
杜长江在开幕式发表讲话，提到此次大会的召开是红宝石官方网站hbs123贯彻党的方针，推进民主政治建设，保障教职工民主权利和合法权益的有力举措，必将对学校改革发展起到积极的推动作用。
校长赵金洲代表学校做了校长工作报告并强调2015年是学校全面深化改革的关键之年，要以更加勤奋的工作态度不断推动学校取得更大的成绩。

“Fast and Furious 7” Is on Show Fervently
By April 20, “Fast and Furious 7” has achieved a box office of 10 million dollars globally within merely 17 days, in which Chinese market contributed at least 230 million dollars, and this movie has become the quickest one to reach one billion dollars’ box office in the history.
Why would it be “Fast and Furious 7”? For those genuine car fans, what attracts them most is the exciting racing scenes in the series of “Fast and Furious”. From the visual angle, it provides the audience with visual feasts continuously. However, if the film just ends up with this visual climax, there will be no distinction compared with those “popcorn” movies. Nevertheless, something happened. Paul Walker, who was the main character of the film and would never get hurt in the film, died in reality because of a car accident. Life is so cruel and so irreversible. Paul said good-bye to the world in a “Fast and Furious” way, which made it very hard for fans to accept. This kind of tragedy cast a sorrowful atmoshpere both in the movie and in the real life. Such an end of this series ignites the interests of spectators around the world completely, attracting them to the cinemas. It is for sure that “Fast and Furious 7” is going to be a great success in film history.
“速度与激情7”火热上映中
截至4月20日，《速度与激情7》在17天的时间里在全球取得了累计10亿美元票房的成绩，其中中国市场至少就占了2.3亿美元，成为电影史上破10亿元用时最短的电影。
为什么会是速7？对于原本就是车迷的观众来说，速度与激情系列最吸引人的是一幕幕扣人心弦的赛车场景。从视觉角度来看，速度与激情的高潮一幕接一幕，但是如果电影就在这样的高潮中结束，和普通的爆米花电影并没有什么区别。但意外就这样发生了，在电影中无论怎样都不会受伤的保罗，居然在现实中遭遇车祸死去。生活是那么残酷而无法挽回，保罗以“速度与激情”的方式和这个世界说了再见，让很多影迷无法接受。这种悲剧，让不论是戏里还是戏外都充满了泪点。这样的终结篇, 完全激起了全球粉丝的看片热潮，这让观众想要走进电影院去看一看。无论怎么说，速度与激情7都会成为电影史上的出彩的一笔。

Nanjing Procuratorate Officially Acceptedthe Case of Child Maltreatment by Fostermother
Yesterday afternoon, Nanjing procuratorate updated the news about the case of child maltreatment by fostermother via weibo “@Nanjing Procuratorial", and it said on April 24, procuratorate of Pukou district officially accepted the case of Fostermother Li suspected of intentioanl injury.
Although procuratorators decided not to arrest the foster mother for the time being, it just meant it was not necessary to take this criminal compulsory measure and did not mean giving up investigating her criminal responsibility.
At present, according to the relevant provisions of Criminal Procedural Law, there exists two possibilities for the case. The one is that the procuratorate believes this case can meet the requirements of investigation and prosecution and thus can directly initiate a public prosecution. The other is that the procuratorate believes there is a lack of evidence to start a public prosecution, and will return it to the Bureau of Public Security for further investigation. Under this circumstance, there is a possibility to solve it by the criminal reconciliation during the investigating phase. Otherwise, it will face up with the court's verdict directly.
Now, the case is under review.
南京检方正式受理养母虐童案
昨天下午，南京市检察院通过其微博“@南京检察”发布案件新进展称，4月24日，南京市浦口区人民检察院正式受理李某某涉嫌故意伤害一案。
尽管此前检方公布对养母作出不批捕决定，但不批捕只是无采取逮捕这一刑事强制措施的必要，并不意味着放弃对其追究刑事责任。
目前，南京市浦口区检察院正式受理该案审查起诉，按照刑诉法的相关规定，存在两种可能性。一种是检方认为案件符合审查起诉的条件，直接对李某某依法提起公诉。另一种可能是，检方认为现有证据不满足起诉条件，将案件退回公安部门继续侦查，这样的情况下，在公安侦查阶段还有实现刑事和解的可能性，否则将直接面临法院的判决。
目前，该案正在审查之中。

Ms 8.1 Earthquake Hits Nepal
A powerful Ms 8.1 earthquake hit Nepal heavily on April 25th, and the epicenter was less than 50 kilometers away from the capital Kathmandu. Now the aftershocks are still happening. The devastating earthquake have caused a heavy casualty and collapse of buildings and even people in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh could feel the shock wave. The mobile phone signals and other means of communications have been destroyed. Dharahara, a famous historic building built in 1832 in Kathmandu, fell down in the earthquake. At a height of nearly 63 meters, this tower can provide visitors with a panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley. The media reported that about 400 people were trapped in the ruined tower. The rescue team made of Nepal soldiers and medical staff have arrived to carry out relief work.
At present, the earthquake caused the Kathmandu Airport to be shut down and more than 12,000 passengers were stranded. Two flights of China Eastern Airlines from Kun Ming to Kathmandu have already turned back. The earthquake also triggeredQomolangma’s avalanche, in which two camps were covered by snow and dozens of climbers lost connection with the outside. China willkeepaneyeonthe situation in this earthquake and provide timely assistance.
尼泊尔发生8.1级地震
4月25日尼泊尔发生8.1级地震，距其首都加德满都50公里并伴有持续的余震。地震造成了严重的人员伤亡以及房屋的倒塌，甚至在巴基斯坦、印度和孟加拉都存在震感。当地手机信号中断，其他通讯方式也受到破坏。加德满都建于1832年的名塔达拉哈拉塔也因地震而倒塌。这座塔近63米高，前来观光的游客可在此见到到加德满都谷地的全貌。有媒体报道说，在塔倒塌时，约有400人被埋在其中, 尼泊尔军队和医疗人员已经组成救援队开展救援工作。
目前尼泊尔加德满都机场已因地震关闭，超过12000名中外游客滞留在加德满都机场。受地震影响，中国东方航空公司的两班从昆明飞往加德满都的航班已经返航昆明。地震还使珠穆朗玛峰发生雪崩，珠峰两个营地被雪覆盖，多名登山者失去联系。中国也将密切关注震情趋势发展，及时向尼泊尔提供救援帮助。
