Students From SWPU Went To The Martyrs’ Cemetery on Tomb-Sweeping Day
On April 4th, student representatives of SWPU and Chengdu Medical College were organized to go to the Martyrs’ Cemetery on Tomb-sweeping Day. This activity was aimed to improve the sense of responsibility to the nation and promote the patriotism of college students. With flowers on the chest, Students were neatly standing in mourning in front of the martyrs’ monument, and listening to the speech of a student representative Mu Ruofei.
Full of respect and admiration, the students walked onto the steps of the monument with flowers in their hands and bowed to show their lament for the martyrs. After that, students made an oath to engrave the martyrs’ heroic deeds in hearts and strive to be strong and successful with youthful vigor and passion. Last the students walked to the monument to bow in proper order, sweep the tombs and lay down the white flowers before the monument.
“We live in peace and we enjoy the beautiful life created by martyrs.” Wangzheng, a student from the School of Public Project Management said, “But this kind of carefree life will make us idle and dispirited, so we should not waste time and let our martyrs down. Rather, we should devote our youth to creating a bright future for our country. ”
“The aim of the tomb-sweeping activity is to make students remember the heroic deeds of martyrs and inherit the spirit of dedication from the martyrs. At the same time, the communication between students from SWPU and Chengdu Medical College helps to promote our friendship. I hope that there will be more cooperation between us to increase mutual understanding.” Wang Dong, a student from Chengdu Medical College said.
清明节红宝石官方网站hbs123学生赴烈士陵园
为增强大学生的民族责任感，弘扬青少年的爱国主义精神，4月4日红宝石官方网站hbs123携同成都医学院组织学生代表在清明节共赴清明烈士陵园。在学生代表母若飞的致辞下，同学们胸前佩戴百花整齐排列在烈士纪念碑前，为烈士默哀。
满怀敬仰之心，迈着整齐的步伐，同学们手捧鲜花，走上烈士纪念碑的台阶鞠躬以表哀思。同学们庄严郑重的宣誓，铭记先烈的英勇事迹，以青春热血奋发图强。宣誓结束，同学们依次走向烈士纪念碑虔诚的鞠躬，将自己胸前的白花放在烈士纪念碑前并打扫。
“在和平的年代里，我们享受着先烈们用生命换来的美好生活，但无忧的日子却使人颓废，我们不应该荒废这时光，不应辜负他们的英勇牺牲，要以我们的青春书写祖国美好未来”来自公共事业管理专业的王铮说。
“这次清明扫墓活动是为了让大家铭记革命事迹，学习革命先烈无私奉献的精神。同时这次成医与西石的又一次交流，增进了同学们之间的友谊，希望日后成医与西石能有更多的合作，增加彼此的了解。”来自成医的王东来说。

The Delegation of Missouri University of Science and Technology Visited SWPU
On April 4th, the dean of the graduate school, VenkatAllada, with his group from the Missouri University of Science and Technology came to visit SWPU. The vice president of SWPU, Wang Ling, as well as the directors of the Computer Science Institute and the Department of International Cooperation and Communication, met the foreign guests. After the meeting, the two parties reached consensus preliminarily on postgraduate and doctoral student cultivation and the teachers’ exchange programs and so on.
Venkat Allada praised on end after watching the propaganda film of SWPU. He said that he was delighted to visit SWPU and looked forward to the future cooperation. What’s more, he hoped for a strengthened cooperation and mutual development between MST and SWPU after this visit.
The two parties discussed pertinent details adequately and expressed their wishes to maintain communication, further cooperation, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation as soon as possible.
美国密苏里科技大学代表团来校访问
4月4日，美国密苏里科技大学研究生院院长VenkatAllada一行到红宝石官方网站hbs123访问。副校长王玲会见了VenkatAllada一行，计科院、国际合作与交流处负责人参加了会见。双方进行了会谈并就硕博士生培养、教师交流等达成了初步共识。
VenkatAllada看完学校的宣传片后连声称赞。他说，他很高兴能到红宝石官方网站hbs123进行访问，并期待进行合作。他希望能通过此次访问加强合作，促进双方共同发展。

The United Nations Called on Settling Yemen’s Conflicts Peacefully
On April 8th, OCHA, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affair, said the humanitarian assistance at Yemen continued to be hindered by the insecure situation.
OCHA appealed to relevant parties to find a peaceful solution for the conflicts and make unremitting efforts to protect the civilians from violence.
Trond Jensen, the principal of the OCHA office in Yemen, said the humanitarian situation in Yemen might develop towards maelstrom. He also called on all parties to observe their obligations under the international laws, respect civilians, and protect their basic living facilities. He also hoped that the supplies and personnel could be given free passages so that they could arrive to those areas in greatest need of assistance.
The principal of the UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) office in Yemen Julien Harneis said that they planned to transport 16 tons of medical supplies to the capital city Sana on April 9th, but it seemed far from enough as the conflicts have posed new difficulties for rescuers.
WHO (World Health Organization) said that in many circumstances the ambulances were denied the access to the sites due to the insecure situation caused by conflicts.
联合国吁各方和平解决也门冲突
4月8日，联合国人道主义事务协调厅表示，在也门开展的人道主义援助行动继续受到不安全形势的制约。
人道协调厅呼吁有关各方为冲突找到一个和平的解决办法，并做出不懈努力，使平民免遭暴力的侵害。
联合国人道主义事务协调厅驻也门办事处负责人延森(Trond Jensen)表示，也门人道主义局势有可能朝着灾难性的方向发展。他呼吁各方遵守国际法所规定的义务，尊重平民和平民基础设施。保证物资和人员的进入不受阻碍，以使急需物资能够进入需要得到人道援助的地区。
儿基会驻也门办事处负责人哈内斯(Julien Harneis)指出，他们计划在9日向首都萨那运送16吨医疗用品，但由于冲突给救援人员造成的新的困难，这些物资就是杯水车薪。
世界卫生组织表示，由于冲突所造成的不安全形势，在很多情况下急救车无法开往事发地点。

The Petroleum Engineering College Hosted a Lecture about Resume Design and Interview Techniques
In order to help the graduates recognize the current employment situation and sharpen the competitive edge when applying for jobs, the Petroleum Engineering College invited instructor Luo Feng, from college students' career planning and guidance center of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics on the night of April 2nd to deliver a lecture. Approximately 500 juniors from Petroleum Engineering College attended this lecture.
Luo respectively clarified resume design and interview techniques from five aspects, including the patterns and characteristics of resumes and interviews, techniques of designing resumes and attending interviews and some tips when sending resumes on the Internet. Moreover, Luo consistently raised inspirational questions to students such as "What's your most ideal profession" to stimulate their thinking. When it came to case study, Luo offered instructions for self-recognition, resume design, interviews and occupation cognition through several anecdotes, which left a profound impression on all the audiences present.
It's said that this lecture is only a part of the career guidance lecture series, which aims at sufficient job-hunting preparations for the graduates. Later on, the Petroleum Engineering College will lay stress on preparations for postgraduate examination, interview manners, and adjustment of expectations in employment and etc., to provide more effective instructions and assistance for the students.
石工院举办简历制作与面试技巧讲座
为帮助学生明确当前就业形势，提高学生就业竞争力，4月2日晚，石油与天然气工程学院举办了“职”面未来之简历制作与面试技巧讲座，本次讲座特邀西南财经大学学生职业生涯规划与就业指导中心罗锋老师担任主讲嘉宾，石油与天然气工程学院2012级500余名学生参加了本次讲座。
罗锋老师分别从简历的形式与特点、网申简历注意事项、简历制作差异化技巧、面试的形式与特点、面试的方法与技巧等五个方面分别进行了生动细致的讲解。“你们最理想的职业是什么？”，罗锋老师不时地向大家抛出问题。在案例分析中，他通过一个个小故事，给在场师生留下了深刻印象，也对学生进行自我认知、简历制作、面试、职业认识等提供了指导，现场学生收获颇丰。
据悉，本次讲座是石油与天然气工程学院针对2016届毕业生进行就业准备与就业指导系列讲座的一部分，接下来学院还将针对考研准备、面试礼仪、就业心态转变等内容为学生提供指导和帮助。

China Refuted President Obama’s Accusation about the South China Sea
US President Barrack Obama claimed in Jamaica on April 9th that China was using "sheer size and muscles" to elbow small nations aside like Philippines and Vietnam in the row over the South China Sea. Why did he talk about this? US State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke provided an explanation that “Strategic and International Issues Study Center” released several latest satellite images showing that China is undertaking the work of land reclamation on Mischief Reef and building artificial islands.
Countering Obama’s criticism about the issue of South China Sea, Chinese spokeswoman Hua Chunying argued that Chinese government is just making some construction on the reef and maintaining the facilities, with the purpose to create better work and living conditions for stationed personnel. These could not only defend the country's territory and the ocean rights but also shoulder international responsibility and obligations of sea search and rescue, disaster prevention and mitigation, maritime research, meteorological observation, environmental protection, safety of navigation, fishery production and so on. Meanwhile, she also stressed that China is always acting as a protector and promoter to maintain the peaceful and stable development of South Sea. She hoped that US can respect China and the ASEAN countries’ efforts, and play a positive, constructive and responsible role in regional peace, stability and development.
中方反驳奥巴马南海指责
美国总统奥巴马9日在牙买加宣称，中国正利用其块头和肌肉将菲律宾和越南这样的小国“挤到一边”。奥巴马为什么要这么说中国呢？美国国务院发言人拉特基做出解释，华盛顿智库“战略与国际问题研究中心”发布的最新卫星图片，显示中国正在美济礁加快填海，建设人工岛和海堤结构。
在奥巴马就南海问题点名批评中国后，外交部发言人华春莹表示，中国政府对南沙部分驻守岛礁进行了相关建设和设施维护，主要是为了改善驻守人员的工作和生活条件，更好地维护国家领土主权和海洋权益，更好地履行中方在海上搜寻与救助、防灾减灾、海洋科研、气象观察、环境保护、航行安全、渔业生产服务等方面承担的国际责任和义务。同时，她也强调中国是南海和平稳定的坚定维护者和促进者，希望美方尊重中国和东盟国家的有关努力，为地区和平稳定发挥积极、建设性和负责任的作用。
