The Extracurriculum Class Credit System of SWPU Nanchong Campus Was Covered by Renowned Media
The Extracurriculum Class credit system of SWPU Nanchong campus drew attention of certain renowned media, including the Education Herald, People's Daily Online, Haiwai Net, Sichuan Online and so forth.
With the comprehensively deep reform of enhancing talents quality, SWPU decided to bring The Extracurriculum Class into the talents cultivation project. The Extracurriculum Class project aims to establish a system of cultivating talents with practice by combining The Intracurricular Class with The Extracurriculum Class, and set up an experimental teaching system including fundamental experiments, comprehensive engineering experiments, and investigative and innovative experiments, so as to boost the quality of experimental teaching.
SWPU Nanchong campus has released certain related trial measures to bring The Extracurriculum Class into the talents cultivation project. It is required that for the students enrolled in 2014 and in the successive years, they are supposed to get at least 4 credits of The Extracurriculum Class before graduation. In 2015, the first 128 projects of The Extracurriculum Class have been approved, and have been implemented since the middle of March successively. To guarantee the quality of The Extracurriculum Class, the offices and teaching and research offices of Nanchong campus will undertake the task of administrating and conducting the projects, and make the responsibility of each department clear. All measures above reflect the principle of every member of the faculty serving for the cultivation of talents.
南充校区“二课”学分制度受到数知名媒体报道
南充校区“第二课堂”学分制管理，受到教育导报、人民网、海外网、四川在线等媒体的关注。
红宝石官方网站hbs123在提高人才培养质量全面深化改革中，提出将“第二课堂”纳入人才培养方案。实施“第二课堂”计划，构建“一课”、“二课”相结合的实践育人体系，建立包含基础性实验、综合设计性实验、研究创新性实验的实验教学体系，提升实验教学质量。
红宝石官方网站hbs123南充校区近日出台相关试行办法，把第二课堂纳入人才培养方案,规定从2014级起，学生在校期间至少要获得4个第二课堂学分才准予毕业。今年首批128个第二课堂项目已立项，从3月中旬开始陆续实施。为保证第二课堂质量，校区职能科室和各教研室承担起项目的管理和指导，并把责任落实到人头，体现了全员育人的原则。

SWPU Was Selected an Experimental Unit for Postgraduates Curricula Construction of Ministry of Education
At the end of 2014, Ministry of Education carried out the pilot work for the project “Curricula Construction of Postgraduate”. After submitting the application and being recommended by the experts from Sichuan Education Department, SWPU has become one of the first group of universities selected to be the experimental units of this project and obtained the supporting fund from the Ministry of Education.
Curricula construction is an important aspect of the development of the facilities and disciplines and the cultivation of talents for the postgraduate institutions. The Ministry of Education pointed out that course learning is a major feature in the academic degree system and postgraduate education system in China, and an inevitable premise to ensure the quality of the postgraduate, which possesses a comprehensive and fundamental function in the development of the postgraduates. “Courses and thesis holding equal significance” has become an important characteristic in the postgraduate cultivation system and mode, and has also exerted great effect on guaranteeing the quality of postgraduates as well as facilitating the international approval of the postgraduate education system in China.
According to the plan, this pilot work will last for three years, and end in 2017. It mainly focuses on the construction of regulations and systems as well as the construction of course system. SWPU will set up a leading team for this project.
红宝石官方网站hbs123成为教育部研究生课程建设试点单位
2014年底，教育部实施研究生课程建设试点工作。经学校申请，四川省教育厅专家评审推荐，红宝石官方网站hbs123成为首批入选教育部研究生课程建设试点工作单位，并获得教育部相应的经费资助。
课程建设是研究生培养单位条件建设、学科建设和人才培养的重要方面。教育部指出，课程学习是我国学位和研究生教育制度的重要特征，是保障研究生培养质量的必备环节，在研究生成长成才中具有全面、综合和基础性作用。“课程论文并重”已成为我国研究生培养制度和培养模式的重要特征，对于保证研究生培养质量、促进我国学位和研究生教育的国际认可和交流发挥了重要作用。
本次试点工作为期三年，计划在2017年底完成。试点内容以制度机制建设、课程体系建设为重点。学校将成立试点工作领导小组。

A Hostage Crisis at a University in Eastern Kenya Has Caused 147 Deaths
A university in northeast Kenya was attacked by armed forces at dawn on April 2nd, causing 147 deaths, including 4 assaulters, and another 79 injured.
It is reported that the armed forces stormed into Garissa University, took students as hostages and battled against the Security Forces fiercely for several hours. The fatal armed conflicts have so far ended, and the four gunners who launched the fatal attack were shot dead. Kenyan Security Forces is combing the university to clear up possible remaining threats.
The Minister of Interior Ministry declared that the number of armed terrorists was unclear at the moment, but the major terrorist threats were eradicated, and armed tanks and soldiers were deployed around the campus.
Kenyatta, Kenyan President, made a statement and appealed to Kenyan citizens to “stay calm”. He hoped citizens could provide the authorities with any relevant information about security threat and also announced that government had properly deployed the Security Forces in case of emergency. Aden Duale, the leader of Major Party of Kenyan National Assembly, also declared that terrorists are never allowed to disrupt Kenya with the excuse of religion.
肯尼亚东部一大学爆发人质危机，造成147人死亡
4月2日黎明时分，肯尼亚东北部一所大学遭到武装分子袭击，目前至少造成147人死亡，其中包括4名袭击者，另有79人受伤。
据报道，武装人员冲进加里萨大学，将学生劫持为人质，并与安全部队进行了数小时的激战。目前致命武装冲突已经结束，发动这一致命袭击的四名枪手已被击毙。肯尼亚安全部队正在仔细清查校园以清除可能残存的威胁。
肯尼亚内政部长表示，目前还不清楚发动袭击的武装分子人数，但主要的恐怖威胁已经去除。武装坦克和士兵被部署在学校周围。
肯尼亚总统肯雅塔发表声明，呼吁肯尼亚国民保持冷静。他希望国民为当局提供任何与安全威胁有关的信息，并宣布政府已经对安全部队做以适当部署。肯尼亚国民议会多数党领袖亚丁·杜阿莱也表态称决不允许恐怖分子以宗教为标准来分裂我们的国家。

Shu Xiaoli Won the Second Prize in the 3rd Instructor Vocational Capability Competition
On March 26th, the 3rd Instructor Vocational Capability Competition was held in Sichuan Agricultural University. Confronted with multitudes of instructors from more than 92 universities, Shu Xiaoli, an instructor from SWPU, was awarded the Second Prize with the No.5 ranking in the total score and her prominent capability.
Department of Student Affairs of SWPU had schemed detailed preparations to help the contestants sufficiently for the competition. In the semifinal, Shu Xiaoli qualified for the final directly as the No. 1 in her group. In the keynote speech of the final, she depicted affectionately the profound comprehension as well as the primary responsibility of being an eligible instructor with her empirical work in campus. In the section of Case Analysis and Conversation, she illuminated the case with composite specific knowledge within appointed time and tackled sorts of sudden incidents calmly. Her excellent performance demonstrated the occupational qualities of instructors from SWPU and won the favorable appraisals of judges.
The competition was held in accordance with the government’s demand to cement and improve the ideological propagation in universities, and aimed to improve the occupational qualities of university instructors and promote the development of college students’ mentality.
舒小立荣获四川省辅导员职业能力大赛二等奖
3月26日，第三届四川省高校辅导员职业能力大赛在四川农业大学举行。来自全省92所高校的辅导员参与了大赛，红宝石官方网站hbs123电气信息学院辅导员舒小立凭借出色的表现，以总分第5名的成绩喜获二等奖。
为迎接此次比赛，学工部制定了详细的工作方案，帮助参赛选手做好充分准备。在复赛阶段，舒小立以小组第一名直接晋级决赛。在决赛的主题演讲环节，舒小立结合红宝石官方网站hbs123学生工作实际，深情讲述了辅导员工作的感悟和体会，生动诠释了辅导员的责任和担当。在案例分析和谈心谈话等环节，她沉着应对，在规定的时间内综合运用相关知识，案例分析到位，充分展示了红宝石官方网站hbs123辅导员的职业素质和工作能力，赢得了评委们的一致好评。
本次比赛是在中央加强和改进高校宣传思想工作大背景下举行的一次重大赛事，旨在提高高校辅导员职业能力和专业素养，不断提升大学生思想水平。

China Helps 10 Countries Evacuate Nationals from Yemen
On April 2nd , Linyi missile frigate form the 19th Escort Fleet arrived in Yemen to help more than 225 foreign citizens from Pakistan and other 9 countries to evacuate, following the evacuation of 571 Chinese nationals. It was the first time in the history of Chinese Navy that China had carried out the mission of helping foreign countries to evacuate their nationals.
These days, Yemen has suffered continuous air raid and armed attacks on land, causing an extremely perilous situation for those foreign nationals. After the incident, many countries drew up their evacuation plans immediately. Lacking certain hardware facilities, manpower and material resources, some countries are not capable of completing the mission. Thus, Chinese Government voluntarily undertook this arduous task.
People from Pakistan, Ethiopia, Singapore, Italy, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Britain, Canada and Yemen accepted the assistance. Chinese government issued a statement that the evacuation was a response to the requests of those countries and a humanitarian aid in nature. From this incident, we could see Chinese government’s friendship to the other countries.
These years, China has played an increasingly important role in the international community and it is gradually building up an image of a great power in many international affairs. We have every reason to believe that China, as a country that always actively undertakes international responsibilities, will grow into a respectable and powerful country in the near future.
中国政府协助十国撤侨
四月二日，在撤出本国571名公民后，中国海军第十九护航编队派出的导弹护卫舰“临沂舰”抵达也门，帮助包括巴基斯坦在内的十国共225名公民进行撤离。这是中国海军首次执行帮助撤离外侨的任务。
近日，也门连续受到空袭和陆上武装袭击，致使他国在也门的公民陷入极端危险的境地。事发之后，许多国家在第一时间制定了撤侨计划。但是由于硬件设备及人力物力上的欠缺，有些国家难以独立完成本次任务，因此，中国政府自愿承担起这项艰巨的任务。
经过统计，来自巴基斯坦、埃塞俄比亚、波兰、德国、英国、 爱尔兰、意大利、新加坡、加拿大和也门的十国公民接受了本次援助。中国政府发表声明表示：这次撤侨行动实际上是应多国请求并基于人道主义的国际援助行动。但是无论如何，我们都能看出中国这份友好的态度。
近些年来，中国在国际社会中扮演者越来越重要的角色，中国也在各项国际事务中树立起一个大国形象。我们有理由相信，中国，一个积极承担国际责任的国家，将来定会成长为一个为各国所敬佩的真正大国。
