SWPU Professor Jia was Recorded in the 2014 Most Cited Chinese Researchers’ List
Recently, along with the list “the 2014 Most Cited Chinese Researchers” released by Elsevier, Jia Chunsheng, a professor from the School of Oil and Natural Gas Engineering of SWPU, was recorded in the field of Physics and Astronomy.
Elsevier is a leading product and service supplier of science, technology and medical information in the world, which publishes more than 2,000 different kinds of journals every year. The total cited times of papers by those Most Cited Researchers as the first authors or the corresponding authors represent the top level among the researchers of the subject in the mainland China. The researchers who are recorded in the list of The Most Cited Researchers may have a worldwide influence in the field that they are studying because of their great contribution to the development of the field.
There are totally 42 researchers from Sichuan colleges and universities who are recorded in the list in the 2014 Most Cited Chinese Researchers, of which 20 come from Sichuan University, 10 from UESTC (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China), 7 from Southwest Jiaotong University, 2 from Sichuan Normal University, and one from SWPU, China West Normal University and Chengdu University respectively.

在近日由爱思唯尔发布的“2014年中国高被引学者（Most Cited Chinese Researchers）榜单”上，红宝石官方网站hbs123石油与天然气工程学院贾春生教授被收录在“物理学和天文学”类榜单。
爱思唯尔（Elsevier）是一家世界领先的科学、技术和医学信息的产品和服务提供商，每年出版超过2,000种期刊。爱思唯尔“高被引学者”作为第一作者和通讯作者发表论文的被引总次数在本学科所有中国(大陆地区)的研究者中处于顶尖水平。入选“高被引学者”名单，意味着该学者在其研究领域具有世界级影响力，其科研成果为该领域发展作出了较大贡献。
四川高校合计有42名学者入选该榜单，分别是四川大学20人，电子科技大学10人，西南交通大学7人，四川师范大学2人，红宝石官方网站hbs1231人，西华师范大学1人，成都学院1人。

“Duang” Prevails on Internet
Currently, a fresh but equivocal word “Duang” has reigned the social network in China, while few people can illuminate its precise definition.
The intriguing phenomenon could be intricate to explain. However, that’s exactly how it happens in current generation. Even though almost nobody can figure out the explicit definition of the character, it just engages people’s attention for its witty pronunciation. Hitherto, accompanied with the heated discussion about it, the relevant micro blogs about the word “Duang” has been stricken more than 8.4 million times. And a number of the corresponding micro blogs are consecutively surging..
Actually, originated from the Chinese actor Jackie Chan, “Duang” is an onomatopoeic to simulate certain sound which is not an authentic Chinese character. In 2004, Chan used this ingenious intonation “Duang” to depict his radiant hair for the first time while shooting an advertisement of shampoo. And recently, as Chan reposts the ad again, the word instantaneously intrigues thousands of netizens to commentate and imitate the funny word with its ingenious pronunciation. Subsequently, the Chinese character was just born this way.
Though without plausible definition of this word, “Duang” has been cited for diverse ways in China as an approach to emphasizing the extent of what you say. For example, you can utilize the word to acclaim a lovely cat by saying “duang cute”.
“Duang”受百万人追捧
在中国，一个新词席卷了整个网络，但是没人知道该字究竟是什么意思。
这或许令人匪夷所思，但却是这个时代的一个标志。“duang”发“dwong”的音，近日以星火燎原之势迅速蹿红中国网络，即便13亿中国人并未搞清它的含义。自2月24日以来，“duang”在微博上已出现840多万次，还催生出一个话题,而新一轮的发布和转发依旧滚滚而来。
Duang是个拟声词，用来模仿声音。该字似乎源于香港动作之星成龙。在2004年拍摄的洗发水广告中，他说道乌黑亮泽的头发时，使用了duang这个富有节奏的词。成龙再次在微博晒出之后，该字迅速走红。数千名用户在成龙微博下评论，并因此造出了新字。
Duang似乎有很多不同的意义，还没有适当的翻译，你可以将该字用作形容词，强调之后的词。小猫可能是“duang 可爱”。

SWPU held activities to celebrate International Women’s Day
On March 5th, the Campus Fitness Campaign, with the theme of “Embrace Campus, Enjoy Walking”, was held by the School Union and the School Female Worker Committee to celebrate the 105th International Women’s Day.
Ji Jing, the vice president of the School Union and director of the School Female Worker Committee, said that SWPU has long been caring for the career development and physical and mental fitness of female staff. The Fitness Campaign aims to provide female staff with a perfect opportunity to get close to the nature, relax themselves both physically and mentally and communicate with each other.
One female teacher from School of Mechanical Engineering said: “Only when we have a healthy body can we work happily and thus make contributions to the reform of SWPU.” Meanwhile, she suggested more activities like this be organized in hope of strengthening a sense of identity and cohesion among the teaching stuff for the reform.
It is said that SWPU will carry out various activities, such as renewing the medical insurance of major diseases, collecting book reviews and holding health lectures. All of these activities serve to demonstrate the spirit of female staff and create a harmonious and jubilant festive atmosphere in the campus.
学校开展庆祝“三八”妇女节系列活动
3月5日，校工会、校女工委员会开展“亲近校园、快乐行走”校园健身活动，以庆祝第105个“三八”国际劳动妇女节。
校工会副主席、校女工委员会主任姬静说，学校一直以来都关心女教职工的职业成长，关爱她们的身心健康。这次开展的校园健身活动，就是为了让女教职工们亲近自然，放松身心，姐妹们也有一个相互交流的机会。
机电院的一名女教师对记者说，“只有拥有健康的身体，才能快乐地工作，才能为学校的改革发展出力。”同时，她还建议学校多组织开展类似活动，增强大家对改革的认同感和凝聚力。
据了解，学校还将组织开展女教职工大病互助保险的续保工作、读书征文、健康知识讲座等活动，展示女教职工的精神风貌，营造欢乐温馨的节日氛围。

Staff of the Zoo in Australia Found the Tiniest Echidna
According to Daily Mail of England issued on March 2nd, the staff worker from Taronga Zoo, which is located in New South Wales of Australia, found an 30-day-old echidna on Anna Bay Walkway.
It is reported that the echidna was the tiniest one among all the echidnas ever showing up in Taronga Zoo so far. With a smooth skin and an immature spinal, the echidna looks so enchanting.
The administrative staff of the wild animal hospital in the zoo said: “the echidnas of this age are supposed to stay in their mothers’ marsupia despite the risk of falling out. Their mothers will leave their babies alone in the caves and go out to hunt for food when the babies grow bigger. The mothers only come back to the caves once in a few days to feed their children. So, here in the hospital, we only need to feed this little baby every two days.”
The evolutionary history of echidnas can be traced back to 50 million years ago. Their ancestor is an animal that looks like duckbill, which mainly lives in waters. But with the long evolution, echidnas have already adapted themselves to the life on the land. When they grow old enough to be able to live without marsupial, they can eat termites and ants, but it will take a few months for them to wean them from breasts .
澳动物园工作人员发现最迷你针鼹鼠
据英国《每日邮报》3月2日报道，澳大利亚塔隆加动物园的工作人员在位于新南威尔士州的安娜湾步行道发现了一只出生仅30天的小针鼹鼠。
据悉，这只小针鼹鼠是迄今为止出现在塔隆加动物园最迷你的针鼹鼠，它身子光溜溜的，脊柱还没有开始发育，这一切都使它看起来非常迷人。
该动物园的野生动物医院的管理人员说：“其实针鼹鼠在这个时候是应该待在妈妈的育儿袋里的，虽然它们很可能从育儿袋里掉出来。当它们再大一点的时候，针鼹鼠妈妈就会把它们留在洞穴里，自己出去觅食。针鼹鼠妈妈每隔几天才会回到洞穴里喂养宝宝一次，所以在这里，我们也只需要每两天喂养这只小针鼹鼠一次。”
据了解，针鼹鼠的进化史可追溯的5000万年前，它们的祖先是一种长得像鸭嘴兽的动物，主要在水里活动，但是随着不断进化，针鼹鼠已适应了陆地生活。等到它们长大到可以离开育儿袋就可以吃白蚁和蚂蚁，但仍要几个月之后才可完全断奶。

The Assassination of Russian Former Vice Prime Minister
In the night of February 27th, Boris Nemtsov, the former vice prime minister as well as the leader of the Russia Republican Party, was shot dead on the Moskva Bridge by the terrorist.
Nemtsov was elected the first deputy prime minister in 1997 and became the candidate of the president. In 2008, he became the leader of the Russia Republican Party. He was well-known for his political stand for freedom and peace and he was also against the resolution about sending troops to Ukraine.
After the incident, President Vladimir Putin at once deputed the FSB（the Russian Federal Security Bureau) to investigate and solve the case as soon as possible. At present, two Caucasian suspects have already been arrested, and the follow-up surveys are also under way.
After experiencing a hundred years’ turbulence, peace and development has become the two themes of the world today. But there are still many political struggles and extreme terrorism being rampant under the peaceful appearance. Hence, eastern countries should put joint effort to eliminate the threats around and thus build a peaceful and stable international environment.
俄前副总理遇刺身亡
北京时间二月二十七日深夜，俄罗斯前副总理，俄罗斯共和党-人民自由党联合主席鲍里斯·涅姆佐夫在莫斯科河大桥上被恐怖分子射杀身亡。
涅姆佐夫于1997年当选俄罗斯第一副总理，并一度成为总统候选人。2008年当选俄人民自由党主席。他以自由和平的政治立场闻名俄罗斯政界，并反对出兵乌克兰的决议。
事发之后，俄罗斯总统普京当即委托国家联邦安全局对此事展开调查并尽早破案。目前，两名来自高加索地区的犯罪嫌疑人已落网，后续的调查工作正在进行中。
经历百余年动荡后的当今世界以和平和发展为主题，但在和平的外表下，众多的政治斗争和极端恐怖主义依然猖獗。为此，东方各国应该携手一道，努力消除身边的威胁，营造一个和平稳定的国际环境。
