报告人简介：

Dr. Xiaoping Du is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. As an engineer, researcher, and educator in engineering design, he has been involved in many projects in optimization, structural reliability, and reliability engineering for petroleum and automotive industries. As PI, he received five grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and also served as PI and Co-PI for many other research projects. He has published approximated 100 journal and conference papers. He is currently Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Mechanical Design and Review Editor of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization; he is also serving on the Editorial Boards for Engineering Optimization and International Journal of Reliability and Safety.
