On March 24^th, the opening ceremony for the enrolled international students of "ZhenHua Oil Scholarship Program" was held. 13 Iraqi students funded by ZhenHua Oil Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony. They will study for the Master's and Doctoral degrees of Engineering majored in Oil and Gas Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Control Science and Engineering at Southwest Petroleum University.

Ali Hussein Khalaf, on behalf of the international students, addressed a speech at the opening ceremony. He hoped to improve his academic level and professional skills at Southwest Petroleum University so as to apply what he has learned for his motherland. In addition, he hoped to learn Chinese language and culture, and to become a bridge for the exchanges between Chinese and Iraqi people. (Xie Na)
